WASHINGTON, D.C. (November 12, 2024) — Rod Snyder, a leading expert on agriculture and environmental policy, announced the launch of Junction Strategies, LLC, a consulting firm specializing in agriculture, climate, and environmental issues, as well as supply chain sustainability initiatives. The firm will provide support to trade associations, nonprofits, philanthropic organizations, and companies that are working with farmers and policymakers to build a more regenerative and resilient food and agricultural system.

For more than two decades, Snyder’s career has reflected a longstanding commitment to building consensus at the intersection of agriculture and environmental issues. He is a sought-after speaker at agricultural conferences and events and regularly offers thought leadership through media appearances. Most recently, Snyder served in the Biden-Harris Administration as Senior Advisor for Agriculture to the Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) from 2021-2024 where he was named as the first-ever director of EPA’s newly established Office of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.
From 2014-2021, Snyder served as president of Field to Market: The Alliance for Sustainable Agriculture, which is the largest multi-stakeholder initiative working to advance the sustainability of commodity crop farming in the United States. In 2015, he co-founded the Sustainable Agriculture Summit, which has grown to be the largest and most prominent annual sustainable agriculture conference in North America. Prior to his time at Field to Market, Snyder held positions as Public Policy Director for the National Corn Growers Association and Government Affairs Leader for CropLife America.

Snyder holds a B.A. in Political Science from Eastern University in St. Davids, Pennsylvania and an Executive Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. He resides on his family farm in Shenandoah Junction, West Virginia.
